Established in 1984, St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program (CBI) is the oldest of its kind in the world.  The program offers visa-free travel to over 165 countries including the UK, Ireland, Schengen regions, and Switzerland. Investors along with their family members can apply for citizenship through an investment program, either by donating to the government fund or by investing in the real estate purchase.

Requirements for applying for Citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis:

Investors can apply for citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis by either:

  1. Donating a minimum of $150,000 to the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF) of the government (The contribution for a family of up to four will be $195,000 following incremental steps). However, The Cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis Government has announced a limited $ 45,000discount to families from March 2021 due to the COVID-19 situation.
  • Or by investing $400,000 in government-approved real estate projects
  • US$ 200,000 ( hotel shares only) held for seven years before resale
  • US$ 400,000 (full title deed) held for five years before resale, plus payment of various registration and other fees
  • The real estate investment of $400,000 investment may also attract two applicants at $200,000 each plus government fees, but this can only be resold after 7 years

The shares can be sold back to the same developer, making it a fully refundable investment.

A 60-day Accelerated Application Process (AAP) option is also available, subject to $25,000 per applicant and $20,000 per dependent. Most applications are processed within 45 days under AAP.

St Christopher (Kitts) and Nevis passport issued is valid for 10 years, which can be renewed thereafter at any consulates where you live.

How to apply for St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship?

To apply for St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship, the following procedures have to be done:

  1. Initial set of documents (police certificate, copy of passports and birth certificates, CV/Resume)
  2. Submit the file to CIU through an Authorized agent
  3. Wait for the Government approval letter which could take up to 3 months
  4. Once approved, pay the remaining investment fee.
  5. Collect your passport and citizenship certificate at the nearest St Kitts consulate or embassy

Restricted countries

The nationals of Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, and Cuba are banned from applying for St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship, regardless of where they live.
