Every year millions of people from around the world decide to immigrate to another country and the United Kingdom is one of the favourite destinations for immigrants. The four main reasons why migrants move to the UK are as follows: work, family, study, and asylum or they seek refuge.

As the UK Government has recently released the 2021 Budget Report many changes have been made to the immigration services Dubai system of the country.

Some changes have been made with the aim to support small businesses. Addition of a new visa and modifying several existing visa categories are some of the other changes.  

Several proposed plans have been unveiled in the 2021 Budget.

Visa Reforms

The Government of the UK has announced changes to several visa categories, including:

  1. Global Talent Visa
  2. Innovator Visa

Global Talent Visa: The eligibility changes for the Global Talent Visa will now give accomplished applicants a simpler pathway to immigrate to the UK. After these changes come into effect an individual with international prizes, scholarship recipients, or applicants in leadership programs will now automatically qualify for the Global Talent Visa.

Innovator Visa: After the proposed changes it will be easier to obtain an Innovator Visa. An Innovator Visa Innovator Visa is meant for those individuals who want to create an innovative business in the UK and have the skillset coupled with requisite experience. However till now, there was a requirement to have an endorsement from a registered organization which may be eliminated with the 2021 Budget Proposal, but additional details are yet to be announced.

New Global Mobility Business Visa: A new visa called the Global Mobility Business Visa is expected to be launched in 2022 by the UK Government. This will allow foreign companies to establish a base in the UK or transfer their employees here.

Support for Small Business: Under the budget plan for 2021 the UK Government plans to facilitate visa processing for small businesses. However, further details will be furnished at a later date by the government.

Into the future: As per the Budget Plan of 2021 the UK Government aims to attract more highly skilled talent and facilitate the country’s economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic. The highlight of the modifications made in the Budget Report for 2021 is to reduce the administrative burden for applicants and employers.
